Single Screw Extruder

Description
The single-screw extruder is a common plastic processing machine, mainly consisting of a transmission device, extrusion section, feeding device, and control system. Its working principle involves the rotation of the screw, which conveys and plasticizes the material, and then forms it through the die. The screw and barrel are key components, typically made of high-speed alloy steel and treated with nitriding to achieve high wear resistance and corrosion resistance. It is widely used in the plastic processing industry, such as for the extrusion of pipes, sheets, films, profiles, blow molding, powder pelletizing, and recycling of regrind materials.
Based on the traditional single-screw extruder, Kitech machinery has developed a new type of high-efficiency single-screw extruder by optimizing the screw design, improving the transmission system, enhancing the heating and cooling efficiency, and strengthening the control system. The goal is to address the limitations of traditional single-screw extruders in terms of high output, low energy consumption, and high-precision processing, while maintaining the advantages of simple structure and low cost of single-screw extruders.

Optimizations of the High-Efficiency Single-Screw Extruder:

Transmission Device: Equipped with a hard-toothed gearbox and an AC or DC variable speed system, ensuring smooth operation.
Extrusion Section: The screw and barrel are the core components. The screw features a new structural design that optimizes melting and mixing effects, ensuring lower melting temperatures and higher output.
Heating and Cooling System: Fitted with cast copper or cast aluminum heaters, with the option to choose between air or water cooling to ensure precise temperature control.
Control System: Advanced electrical control system that enables precise control of screw speed, temperature, and pressure, ensuring stable and consistent product quality.
